Description

The scheme provides the industry with world-class state- of-the-art infrastructure facilities for setting up their textile units. This facilitates the textile units to meet international environmental and social standards. Industrial clusters/locations with high growth potential, which require strategic interventions by way of providing world-class infrastructure support are the targets. The project cost will cover common infrastructure and buildings for production/support activities (including textiles engineering, accessories, packaging).

Benefits

The GoI assistance would be limited to 40% of the proposed project cost, not exceeding Rs.10 crore for each park. Thus, SPVs intending to avail Rs.10 crore of grant assistance would need to invest Rs.15 crore (through equity/loans/other sources) in the ratio of 40:60. SPVs have to bring in upfront 10% of their proposed contribution in escrow account.

At each ITP, there would be a separate SPV formed with the representatives of local industry, financial institutions, State and Central Governments. The SPV shall be a corporate body registered under the CompaniesAct.
