Under this scheme, Common Services Centres (CSCs) are ICT enabled front end service delivery points at the village level for delivery of Government, financial, social and private sector services in the areas of agriculture, health, education, entertainment, FMCG products, banking, insurance, pension, utility payments, etc.

It aims to provide ICT enabled front end service delivery points at village level in agriculture, health, education, banking, etc.


The scheme is being implemented in a public-private partnership framework with a focus on rural entrepreneurship & market mechanisms. CSCs have been set up by implementation partners called as Service Centre Agencies (SCA), who are appointed by State Designated Agencies (SDAs) through a transparent bid process. CSCs are operated and managed by Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) who are appointed by the SCAs.
