Description

This scheme provides financial incentives to the mother who delivers a girl child in the State of Goa irrespective of their social/economic status. A mother who delivers a girl child in the registered Medical Institution in the State of Goa from 01/04/2011.

Objective

To provide financial incentives to the mother

The scheme is aimed at improving the female Child Sex ratio in the State.

Eligibility

To avail the benefits under this scheme following conditions should be fulfilled:

  1. All mothers who deliver a live girl child (maximum 02 deliveries).
  2. The scheme is available to all irrespective of their social / economical status.
  3. The mother/women should be resident of Goa for at least three years or married to a resident of Goa (document to that effect to be submitted).

All mothers who deliver live girl child (maximum 2 deliveries) and the child born on or after 1st April, 2011 shall be entitled to benefits under the Scheme.

Benefits

The financial assistance of Rs. 5000/- shall be substituted with Rs. 25000/- provided:

  1. The First the installment will be given of Rs. 5000/- after mother deliver a girl Child (apply within 45 days)
  2. The second installment of Rs. 5000/- will be given after completed of basic immunization i.e. BCG, Polio, DPT, Hepatitis B1, B2, B3, Vit A, DPT Booster. Polio Booster producing the documents (apply within 45 days)
  3. The third installation of Rs. 5000/- will be released after completed of Secondary Education (S.S.C.E) producing the document (apply within 45 days)
  4. The fourth installment of Rs. 5000/- will be given after completed Higher Secondary education (H.S.S.C.E) producing the document (apply within 45 days)
  5. The fifth installment of Rs. 5000/- will be given after completed Degree Education producing the document (apply within 45 days)

How To Apply

Approach to ICDS block office in respective Taluka at Anganwadi Centres.

Contact to Child Development Project Officer at the local Anganwadi Centre along with a copy of the Birth report/Birth Certificate in the prescribed form, attached to the Scheme within 45 days of the delivery or from the date of the scheme in the official gazette whichever is earlier.
