Sakhi Mandal Yojna for women who are poor financial services

This scheme is to enable the poor women, particularly in rural areas of Gujarat. This scheme aims to improve their access to resources and consequently strengthen livelihoods and quality of life. Sakhi Mandals are a formation of women self-help groups based on thrift and credit principles. It provides financial services to increase the process of economic development and ensure the welfare of women. They are encouraged to foster decision skills and develop a framework of a wider range of participation in microfinance development.


To enable the poor women, particularly in rural areas of Gujarat.


B.P.L. women may join as the member in maximum limit of 30% to form Sakhi mandals under the Sakhi Mandal scheme. In order to from Sakhi Mandal, district panchayat, bhuj, I.C.D.S. branch and district rural development agency, Bhuj may be contacted.


Rural poor families-APL/BPL.


They are paid the stipend and transportation cost for the training period.
