The scheme is forward initiative in a synergy of efforts of designated hospitality institutes and army units. The intended outcome is: accessing and availing the training infrastructure with the army, and enriching the initiative by a sub-stream of trained persons imbibed with the spirit of military discipline and hardiness, implemented by specifically designated Institutes of Hotel Management as off-campus academic effort. The indicated army units will be co-implementers. The the course will be of six weeks in food & beverage service, and eight-weeks in food production.

Persons in the age group of 18 to 28 years and minimum eighth pass.
The army unit provides two sets of uniforms at a cost not exceeding Rs.1,900; provides lunch to trainees @ Rs.70 per day per trainee. Lodging is free of cost, expenditure shall not exceed Rs.2,000 per trainee.
There will be no application or course fees. An amount of Rs.1,500 as stipend is provided for food & beverage course and stipend of Rs.2,000 are provided for food production course.
