Merit scholarship for Scheduled Caste students

Description

The students have to fulfill the following conditions to become eligible for Merit scholarship.They must belong to Scheduled Caste only. They must have obtained not less than 60% of Marks in the annual examination of the Previous class. The annual income of the parents is not considered for merit scholarship.

Objective

To assist and encourage meritorious students.

Eligibility

  1. Any school going student with good merit in annual exams is eligible for Merit scholarship.
  2. Student should be recommended by the Head Master / Headmistress of the concerned school for Scholarship.

Beneficiaries

Benefits

The merit scholarship rates are as follows-

Middle school: V to VII Std - Rs. 75/- p.a

Secondary/ High school: VIII to X Std - Rs. 100/- p.a.

This amount is given in addition to Rs.75/- and Rs. 100/- per annum as Pre-Matric scholarship

How To Apply

To avail the benefits under this scheme Contact to any of the followings:

  1. Contact to Head Master / Head mistress of the concerned school for Scholarship. Or
  2. Contact to The Taluk Social Welfare officer at Taluk level Or
  3. Contact to District Social Welfare office at District level. Or
  4. Contact to The Chief Executive officer of the Zilla Panchayat can also be approached.Or
