The prime goal of this scheme/ program is to bring women and children residing in correctional institutions into the mainstream of society This scheme provides skill development and vocational training for the rehabilitation of destitute, orphan, deserted women and children. In addition to the regular education that they are provided at present.Women and children of correctional institutions can undergo training in any of the reputed training centers, or in training programs conducted in the premises of the institutions itself. Training in cycle repair, mobile repair, automobile repair, plumbing, bar bending, hair cutting, computer training, agarbathi and agarbathi tube making, driving, food conservation, leather bag making, beautician, tailoring, home nursing, zari work, ready-made garments.


To empower women


Each person is eligible for only two training programs in a year.


All women


  1. Financial assistance is as maximum extent of Rs.10,000/- per inmate is given for individual training.
  2. Children who have passed SSLC are eligible to pursue diploma courses in Industrial Training Institutes.
