Early Political career

became the member of the Madhya pradesh legislative assembly (MLA) first time in 1990 from Budhni constituency. In 1991 he was elected to the 10th Lok Sabha from Vidisha constituency. Again re-elected to the 11th Lok Sabha from Vidisha constituency.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan was elected to the Lok Sabha for five time in years 1990, 1991, 1998, 1999, 2004.

2005-2016, as a Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh

He was was elected as the Chief Minister of the Madhya Pradesh first time in 29 November 2005. In 2008,Became the Chief Minister second times. BJP formed government under his leadership.

Shri Chouhan addressed many issues of women's cause. As a Chief Minister, he took several initiatives, brings new ideas, plan, for creating a positive social attitude towards the girl child, He launched various schemes and yojana for women and girls viz. 'Beti Bachao Abhiyaan' and the 'Ladli Laxmi Yojana' im Madhya Pradesh

Win 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed the Government under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chouhan on 13 December 2013. BJP won 165 out of 230 assembly seats. He took charge as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on 13 December 2013.
