Bharatiya Janata Party leader Narendra modi took charge as the Prime Minister of India on 26 May 2014 along with other ministers. The Cabinet of the India forms the executive branch of the Government of India. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed the Government under the leadership of Narendra Modi on 26 May 2014.

On 05 July 2016 Government of India Cabinet expansion took place in which 19 new ministers is added. Narendra Modi inducted 19 new faces in his council of ministers. The Government of India now consists of total 77 Ministers including 28 cabinet ministers and 49 Minister of state(MoS).

Minister of State (Mos) handles or takes charge of specific responsibility in that ministry. For example, a minister of state in the Education Ministry may only handle Primary Education.
